The Excitement

  I am now waiting for a delivery date and I was given a rough date of mid to late April 2020 but then a global pandemic hits and amongst the lockdowns and working from home the motoring press report of car production lines closing and yes, the e-Tron was affected. So, I took to YouTube and soon found I should have done my homework on YouTube first. I started watching e-Tron reviews and what a mixed bunch, I must have watched about 100 reviews over two weeks and my conclusion was the e-Tron was a good car but a bad EV? This did not affect my view too much, I knew the range would more than fit my needs. What this form of research did was to open the EV world for me and I started to watch Channels like “Fully Charged”, “Bjørn Nyland” and “Electric Vehicle Man”. The Brave New World

  It’s the 4 th Feb 2020 and I have just spent 4 months listening to co-workers talking about how they love their Tesla’s. My work place had installed free charging points and I am pondering a change of Car and I am ready to try electric. After discussing this with my wife we concluded we were going to have an EV as our next family car but we would lease instead of buying, after all at this point it still felt like a risk. I need a SUV for reasons I won’t go into here, so my first port of call was the Tesla Model X……. “How much?”. So, okay the X is a bit out of my price range especially as we still were not 100% on EV’s. So next was the Jaguar i-Pace but the exterior styling at the time did not quite float my boat which was strange as I have always been a Jaguar fan.
